Our Story

About Goshizen

Goshizen was born from a desire to reconnect with the physical world while maintaining a foothold in the digital one. The name itself reflects a reverence for nature and the natural state of things.

We operate as a family entity. The farm and local vegetable cultivation are led by our father, a lifelong student of the land. His practical work and writing are supported by a small ecosystem of software projects that help fund and facilitate our agricultural experiments.

Under the Goshizen umbrella, we also house Jinova Systems. This is our software division responsible for architecture and products like KokoroLinks. We see no contradiction in this duality. Writing clean code and tending crops both require patience, debugging, and a deep respect for complex systems.

Our Values

The principles that guide our work across both soil and software.

Honesty
We are transparent about our methods and our results. We share our failures as openly as our successes.
Long-term Thinking
We prioritize decisions that will compound over decades, rather than optimizing for immediate, short-lived gains.
Craftsmanship
Whether it is a line of code or a row of crops, we believe in doing things well. Quality is its own reward.
Care for the Land
We are stewards, not owners. We aim to leave the soil and the surrounding ecosystem in better condition than we found it.
